About Exhibition

Misman is a leading person regarding print picture in Turkey. The most important feature in the picture are his lines. An expressionist line and the attitude of the descendant which comes up with this line cannot be ignored. In this order, the colors are harmonious, the proportions of the forms are very effective. The artist has organized over 50 solo exhibitions, both in Turkey and abroad.

His awards include;

1992 Greece - Turkey Abdi Ipekci Friendship and Peace Award

16th International Mediterranean Biennial Award in Egypt

The artist is still working as a visiting professor in Bilkent University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture.

About Hayati Misman

He was born in 1945 in Konya.

1961-64 He studied at Akşehir Teacher Training School in Konya.

1964-65 He worked as a primary school teacher in Erzincan-Tercan.

1965-68 He studied in Ankara Gazi Institute of Education, Art Education Department.

Between 1970-75, he went to Kassel State Academy of Fine Arts with a scholarship.

In 1975, he started to work in Gazi Education Institute Art Department.

He received his Proficiency in Art degree in 1984.

In 1987, he became associate professor at Gazi University.

Between the years of 1987-2001 he taught at Bilkent University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture.

In 2001, he became a professor at Hacettepe University.

He retired from the same institution in 2005.

He works as a guest professor at Bilkent University Faculty of Fine Arts Design and Architecture.

He organized more than 50 solo exhibitions, of which 10 were abroad. Between 1992 Greece - Turkey Abdi Ipekci Friendship and Peace Award and in Egypt at the 16th International Mediterranean Biennial Award ', which won 15 awards.
